This is indeed heart-breaking. Even if there are elements of truth regarding the use of drugs on the part of these lovely parents, it does not give anyone rights to abuse their innocent children. To me, this is a money-making project for the so-called carers. These are people’s lives. The government must place these innocent children with their own people, their own communities where they continue to learn their great culture and precious language. These lovely and innocent children should not be placed with other people from foreign cultures who always think that their cultures and ways of life are supreme. In my view this is abuse of basic human rights. The Australia government must respect the national apology given by their government in 2008 and show their practical deeds in bonafide and humane ways by fairly treating these indigenous people as equal human beings. Any allegation must be proven in a competent court of law.My heart bleeds that such things are happening in this day and age.
